Bagels & Noodles
About This Spot
Bagels & Noodles is a quietly vibrant nook tucked into the heart of Gainesville’s West University Avenue, offering a distinctive blend of comforting flavors that feel both familiar and adventurous. The moment you step inside, there’s an unpretentious warmth that envelopes the space – a casual, lived-in charm where the hum of kitchen activity and soft chatter create a welcoming rhythm. It’s the kind of place where the pace slows just enough to savor a freshly brewed espresso alongside the savory scent of a hearty pho simmering on the stove.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet full of small, joyful discoveries: a bagel topped with silky smoked salmon and cream cheese, or a steaming bowl of Vietnamese noodle soup layered with fresh herbs and tender slices of beef. Busy mornings here balance the comfort of traditional breakfast omelettes and home fries with touches of thoughtful fusion—the peanut butter smeared on a wheat bagel paired unexpectedly well with a tofu scramble, while coconut pancakes bring a gentle sweetness alongside the sharper notes of house-made hot sauce.
It’s a favored local refuge for those who appreciate food that speaks of care without pretense. The staff’s kindness quietly weaves into the experience, reflecting the place’s neighborhood spirit—humble, familiar, and quietly proud of its diverse menu, which invites you to both start the morning and linger long into the day. Whether it’s a quick bite between classes or a relaxed weekend brunch, Bagels & Noodles offers a quietly satisfying moment to connect with flavors and familiar faces alike.

It’s a nice homey small buisness. On a Saturday late morning they were already out of a lot of bagels and they kept confusing our orders even with a good POS system the kitchen couldn’t communicate with our server. The bagels are great and the eggs are ok. They really are just meant for sandwiches the way they prepare it. I had a good meal here. Not to mention it’s dirt cheap. Perfect for college kids

I came back! And this time this food spot deserves a 5 starts. The food was fantastic, this is definitely a hidden gem amongst Gainesville. I started off with the fried dumplings and a soup. The Ruben sandwich was my favorite out of them all. Pad Thai was very very good, good mix of flavors. The execution from start to finish was fantastic. We got the chance to explore other items of the menu, and the high quality standard was always kept on point.

This is truly a great place to eat. Not only the food is good but the workers are incredibly kind. This in itself makes the place a FIVE star.

I got an order of the Bún bò Huế delivered and it is delicious. The pork and beef were both fatty, tender, and delicious. The broth was super savory with the perfect amount of spice. The veggies were fresh and fragrant. And the noodles were springy and filling. Great dish! If I had to criticize it, I would say there was not enough sourness in the dish; I added a packet of hoisin sauce that it came with but it did not do enough. That is nitpicking for an amazing dish though.
